Music for your ears
The first big event celebrating Chopin takes place from 22 February to 1 March with a concert that by renowned musicians and conductors from around the world. On 1 March, a new exhibition is opening at the Chopin Museum in Warsaw. A short time later, from 21 March through 3 April, the Ludwig van Beethoven Music Festival takes place, offering classics from Beethoven through Schumann. The debut of a Chopin ballet on 9 May also celebrates the life and work of Frédéric Chopin. Last but not least, the Chopin and His Europe Music Festival will take place this August, followed by the International Pianist Competition in October. During the summer months, Chopin’s music can be enjoyed in the open air with piano concerts every Sunday in Łazienki Park.
